The Series that introduced me to FPS, kind of tired of them...

User Rating: 7.5 | Medal of Honor PS3
From the get go I was excited to see that a new Medal of Honor game was on the market, after spending long hours playing the first installments of the series in the PS1, and countless hours playing COD, I was curious t see how they would stick out these days. I was expecting a little more to be honest, it's not a bad game, but there are some issues that made me sigh, nothing really bad, it just felt a little generic, yeah I know, there are tons of FPS today, but this one didn't stick out on the gameplay.

I like the way the story is told and the ending it's quite warming to see how the soldiers care about each other, but that was one of the only posi moment for me. The visuals are a mix bag, sometimes it looks pretty impressive and other time it has very low res textures and so so animations, it just felt that you were looking at a low budget game instead of a franchise classic. The sound effects also had a mix bag.

But for the gameplay, which is where I should focus, it just felt too easy, even playing on hard difficulty, there was no big challenge, the AI was off and the whole experience was not really memorable, bad ATV sections but an enjoyable Apache level to break the routine. Multiplayer is quite good, but not really for me, played a few matches, will probably play a few more but I don't see myself keep coming back for too long. Oh yeah, the Trhophies are quite not that elaborated, some of them felt very silly to get and they are quite easy to achieve.

If you're looking for another FPS, this one is a descent one, but don't expect another COD, that's the beauty of it.
