I really don't understand EA's strategy, why have two modern shooter compete with each other while taking on Black Ops 2. unless Danger Close is like Treyarch and Dice is like Infinity Ward. and is Crytek EA's answer to 343i? Plus why is Dead Space 3 look and feel like Gears now?

We try to see what makes Medal of Honor: Warfighter not just another modern shooter.
I am confused at the people who think COD is gay but MOH is good. These people are just like the morons who vote for Obama because they hated Bush thinking Obama was different. The people behind MOH are the same people who made COD. The differences between Moh, BF, COD, are about just as different as Mcdonalds, Burger King, and Wendy's are from eachother. Is everyone these days incapable of objective thought?
Battlefield 3 is aweseom and I am already playing the frostbite engine. It will be tough for the MOH franchise to improve on what DICE has done with BF3. I am going to wait for some reviews and see what the gaming community says before pre-ordering or running out and buying this game. Seriously - just go buy BF3 first - you can get it cheap!
As long as there is a good single player, I'm going to buy it. A good multiplayer would obviously be an added bonus, but there are plenty of games out there with good multiplayers.
Liked MOH's first installments single player but the multiplayer was a little short ended, hope this one gets a nice overhaul in the mp district and a good extension into the SP so I'm not playing a 4hr campaign.
Yep I loved MW too. What about someone makes a Spec Ops Modern Warfare type game the same size and scope as Skyrim. Map a fictional middle eastern country, have endless missions and customisation. That would win. Why not?
@kautsar211086 Yup, the Yanks wish they had our (British) SAS. There was uproar from Washington a few years back along the same lines.....Basically they started crying to London about the fact that we redeployed our SAS to aid our boys in Afghanistan instead of American soldiers in Iraq.....See, even the yanks know we have the best SF's in the world lol
first one sucked, bet this won't be different :( I'm sick off all these wargame clones. except for DUST 514. at least that promises a goal to your shooting.
the music at the end was pretty sweet. I wish they would have continued the story. oh and all the people jumping on call of duties stick... I would rather go back to 2002 Medal of Honor Allied Assault and play that multiplayer before i would ever jump back on CoD multiplayer.
Not too sure about MOH the last ones singeplayer was good but the multiplayer was bad and thats all that reallly matters. the gun seletcion was way to slim and sniping was too easy but still fun
Being an old fart I do worry about seeing a guy of about 15 talking to a guy of about 12 on games development. I mean if your a dev and producing games in one of the biggest genres, Id like to think your first game was something earlier than Serious Sam. I think listening to these two talk explains quite a bit about why games are not advancing as fast as they surely could. There is no appreciation of history among the young folks developing them. Like maybock says, they keep churning out this same product expecting it to sell big, but more disturbingly arguing they are great games. They are not great games, but until we stop preordering and lining up to get them instead of waiting for them to hit the bargain bin. We enable their laziness in developing the same thing over and over.
I don't get it. The last MOA game was in the bargain bin 3 months after it's release. What makes them think they can pull it off the second time, or get anyone to even look their direction? There's no way in a peanut butter sandwich they will pull players from COD or Battlefield. Not happening.
@maybock3000 Have you seen the latest rehash of duty coming out this year? Black ops 2, or should it be called future warfare 1? I dont know, i dont care even. At the end of the day the last CoD i brought was the best one ever made, WaW. And i will not be buying this one as will alot of people. CoD is losing number every single year because they do nothing new, only change the era and locations and that is it. BF3 on the other hand does change from game to game, it does get better and when people asked for a new updated game engine they got it. CoD, if it goes on using a 5 year old engine will soon be the one in the bargin bucket. And so it deserves to be!
I think these games are too similar to Battlefield. Like just because its made on the same engine doesn't mean it has to feel the exact same while playing it.
Dude keep the first person shooters comin'. No matter what every FPS has a different feel than its predecessor. This game needs to be middle ground between MW3 and Battlefield 3. As far as Multiplayer anyways. Needless to say the campain will be awesome, I'm not worried about that. MOH campain was sick. It was so easy to follow and you really get the feel you are SPECIAL OPS. Keep the FPS comin!
I'm tired of "modern" games.. for a while it was burnout out on WW2 games.. Why don't we try Vietnam for a while, I really liked BF:Vietnam mod for BFBC2. I tell ya what lets do Civil war.. can take up to 30sec to reload.. lmao, jk.. After 14 years of being in the shooter game mix.. (Half Life) I'm soo tired of them.. ya they're OK, but there has to be some kind of a change in games and what we and how we play them. I'm a veteran and honestly, I've had enough of "modern war" wanna go see how it is really be my guest, recriuting station is always open.. meantime I will be playing Skyrim, Arkhim City, and MEffect 3..
@dddddddo We already know that multiplayer fps games are unrealistic. Respawning is already not only implausible, but impossible. I like this idea better though, because you don't have to be a generic terrorist and you can play as what ever force you'd like. It seems like a step forward for me.
I'd just like to say for everybody complaining about the modern first-person shooter genre: number one Medal of Honor (while flawed) had a pretty refreshing, unique, and overall enjoyable campaign that wasn't nearly as unrealistic as some other games...which will remain nameless. Number two the reason the market is saturated is because PEOPLE KEEP BUYING THE DAMN GAMES. I mean what do you expect? If you don't want any more ignore triple A titles because you know their going to be hyped up by the media to make you want to buy them. Don't buy them and they won't get made. But of course I saying this for no reason because people will still complain and then go buy Modern Warfare 18 anyway. :P
I am much more excited about this than Black Flops 2. MoH had a great campaign I hope they can pull that off again but also do a better MP. DICE screwed up the last one. PS: To the trolls whining about FPS's just don't buy them. We don't want to hear you whine about wanting another Cooking Mama. :P
Why are they doing this? Are they idiots? We have enough games to play and we dont want anymore fps. They just are so idiots that they dont know how to make money.
I wish FPS developers would stop doing modern warfare... just stop. It's not new, fun or original. Just stop.
