- "Rent it first"
In Medal of Honor Warfighter, you play the role of few different soldiers, as it is often the case nowadays. What I do not like about this, is that you have no attachment to any of them, you keep jumping from one story to the other, and then the game tries to teach you a moral at the end of the game. This game falls in this category. They should just try to make a good shooter. I think that most of the FPS players do not play it for the story. So, why trying to do so?
Graphics are great, there are few glitches, but nothing really major. Sound is poor, some people talk very loud and others are very quiet. I had to adjust my speakers volume through the whole game.
As it is too many times the case now, the AI is poor in this game. Your partners will go ahead without killing everyone, so when you catch them up, you are being shot by a guy 5 foot away from you. On the other end, sometimes they wait for you to kill everyone before advancing. They seem to be unable to shot. On Normal difficulty, I died 2-3 times though the whole game which last 5 hours, so I strongly recommend you to play at the highest difficulty level. Anyway, you can lower the difficulty directly through the menu.
Like a lot of other FPS today, the story is very scripted, and you need to perform specific actions before an event occurs. You need to breach several doors throughout the game, and it is so repetitive. You select a way to breach, the little cinematic plays, you come into slow-mo and need to kill all of the four enemies in the room. Then you continue your day. You unlock ways to breach by doing headshots, but in fact, that does not change anything.
I did not play in multiplayer, but apparently it is filled with bugs. Hopefully they will be fixed soon.
Globally, if you want to play the solo campaign, I would not recommend you more than a rental on consoles or not pay more than 15-20 bucks for it on PC. You can wait a while before buying it, anyway it will not change anything if you have spoilers. If you want to play multiplayer, I would recommend you to be sure that the bugs are fixed because it seems to break the game according to various people.
