The news that broke this week that EA have effectively dumped the entire Medal Of Honor franchise based on the poor initial sales and support of Warfighter is depressing. A bit of self reflection on their part should make them realise that they pushed Danger Close too hard and too fast to release a game that wasn't ready in time to hit the Call Of Duty sales pre Christmas. I've made a video on this (link below), let me know what you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99Rq8vFdUyE
Metal of Honor needs to do more than the average shooter. I dont think it is because the game is bad, (i thought it was absolutely terrible) but as a MMS, (modern military shooter) it was pretty darn average. When you get tones of these average shooters coming out, it is hard to return a profit. Metal of Honor was one of these high budget shooters that sold probably average.
