    Have to beat it on hard. I was upset that I had to play a full 2nd time just to unlock those difficulties.

    can tier 1 achievement stack with the hardcore achievement
    or vise versa

    Gotta beat Hard, but that's fine. Normal mode is way too easy (not as easy as the last game, but still pretty easy).
