Something DID go wrong......

User Rating: 6.4 | Medal of Honor: Vanguard PS2
The game was polished after it's predessor, Medal of Honor European assault which was praised to take Medal of Honor for last-gen consoles to a whole new level. But something went wrong. Somethings were scraped from the European assault that made its very fun. First of all the AI is very sluggish compared to the dead heard AI from european assault, but it has to be that way or else the game mechanics would not work. Its basically saying that if you have smart AI with sluggish controls.....your going to be dead. Which leads to another problem. Sprinting, its a very handy feature, and looks pretty nice animation for it too. But heres the problem, your mostly used to running into fire, but if you retreat while being fired at, you'll constantly sprint, then get hit and walk and you must re-sprint again, but thats okay because there enough gaps inbetween fires for you to escape, but if it were a machine gun (which you will be facing soo many times) you won't be able to retreat. Heres is the biggest issue I have with the game, the cover system, i think the COD healing style is enough warning for me to take cover, but for some reason, some cover does not have hit detection, like hiding behind a hill will not protect you from fire, its also very fustration during the operation varsity levels, aka, the last 2 levels. This isn't a problem for me since im used to a trial and error , like the same in MOH Euro, but this was hard beyond belife. For the first time of course. When i started, the sniper area was my most hated area, machine guns opened to where I had no idea where it came from and the enviroment easily hid the snipers too well, even with the light coming off their guns. Don't start calling me a noob, I beat the first level of varsity, on vetran, but not able to beat it on the last because of this level. Other than that, the graphics are beautiful, the weapons have a cool shine, the jump looks cool, and the music is beautiful complications from past MOH games. BTW, it has a cool menu animation. Still dissapointing no AI-bots or Online. Its a REAL pity, something easily could of been acomplished under a month and would of brought up sales.
