Not much too it really, just the same old flamin' Medal of Honor.

EA really needs a reality check, I mean like seriously did they really think that 'jumping out of planes' alone is gonna make this game awesome, Vanguard is just the same old Nazi turkey shoot. Besides better graphics, enemy AI, and some lousy weapon upgrades there is no reason in the whole world for anyone to buy this game, unless you want to have a collection of the worst FPS's of the 21st century.

Vanguard with its airborne addition means that you start every mission except one by parachuting into enemy territory, this addition has no real purpose besides giving the player a nice view, it could have been much better if where you land had more purpose and consequences than just getting nailed by machine guns. The gameplay is good at first but soon dies away as it becomes monotonous and easy, there are 4 missions which are relatively easy, things don't start heating up till the last mission which was surprisingly fun.

The weapon upgrades are limited to the Thompson SMG and the Garand so they become useless. There are no handguns and not any weapon variety at all.

Its a real shame for what Vanguard could have been, with a short campaign it just becomes another WWII shooter.
