A 9 Year Pill Popping and Drinking binge was well worth it !

A return to the Gritty world that is Max Payne it's been 9 years since we last seen our man Max and the wait was well worth it . The story follows and picks up 8 years after Max Payne 2 Max is still struggling with his past and the Death of his Wife and Daughter . He grieves by drinking and popping pain killers which he hopes for death but ultimately means the easy way out . He is recruited to do private Security for Rodrigo Branco and his beautiful wife Fabiana . The Story and tone in this game are Dark and sinister , you really do feel as if your watching a mans life spiral out of control .

Rockstar has Always done a great job on there Story and Narritive this game is no acception . James McCaffery returns as the Voice of Max and does some of the best Voice acting I've seen this Year . Max Has Some Truely Amazing Quotes that some Gamers will reference thing in the future too . Gun play in Max Payne is Beautiful when you slow it down in Bullet time the Matrix like ability that lets Max Dive through the air dodging bullets and pulling off truely cinematic kills .

Rockstar was not afraid to put in a little gore and by a little I mean some of the most realistic bullet wounds and body reactions to bullets I've ever seen . For example shoot a guy in the throat watch the blood spray and th AI grab his Neck and stagger to the ground really Impressive animations. The graphics are Beautiful each set piece has its own tone and feel and doesn't feel rushed or poorly made which is a true joy you'll go from New Jersey to Sao Paoul Favelas , to Swamps its A beautiful Gritty game . The Story roughly 12-14 hrs to beat pretty short considering it's a Rockstar game but thats where it's fantastic multiplayer comes in , you can take it solo or jump in with your crew where you earn Double xp for matchmaking with your crew . You can do death match all the way too gang wars which is a scenario based game mode .

There is so much beautiful depth to this game pulling off finishers alone has me coming back to this game it s definitely worth a check out and was a true suprise and return from Max Payne .
