Sometimes sequels are better...

Max Payne was only the beginning of what was to become a great series. Max Payne 2 starts off with Max resuming his role as a detective on the NYPD payroll, and just when everything seems to be sorting itself out it all falls to pieces once again. When he can't even trust those working with him he has to turn to a criminal, Mona Sax. A woman whom which Max falls in love with.

Max Payne 2 is a fantastic sequel to an amazing game. I cannot say a bad thing about it, just that it is too short. I'll let that slip just because of the depth and awesomness of it. Quality before Quantity, that's what I always say.

This game takes everything that was great about the first and perfected it. Then it took all of the bad things out and left us with a solid noir game. Don't forget, you won't see any games like it until max payne 3.
