Many people hate MEA but I felt I should try it anyway and form my own opinions, since I am an honest person I wont hold back.

First off the games GFX are decent, world visuals are really good and the objects like trees and vehicles look good and I don't think anyone will complain, though I must say that bases and rooms, buildings inside are really not detailed especially in outposts or site on planets. Many mission areas its just like everyone is standing around for you to kill them. Nothing feels lived in or used, there are no details, be it on the walls or on the ground (some places but just not enough places for the immersion which this game should be all about)

The voice acting is decent and the models are done well enough, sure the customisation with character creation is very limited and yes characters tend to look rather ugly imo. Animations are done better, your romance scenes are better compared to the old games in the visual sense but there is something missing and I'll get to that just now.

Weapons and combat is good but I honestly feel combos don't work well with some builds if at all and giving the player more options to make use of skills from other trees would be better, the way its done now you need to switch "profiles" to make use of other skills trees, I would prefer giving quick setup access for skills and more combat options. Generally combat isnt a major concern.

Game instability and memory leaks later into the game maybe after 30 hours becomes an issue where stuttering and freezing occurred for me (not sure if it was fixed in later patches) caused you to need to close the game and open again to clear the memory.

But the crux of this review is that this game lacks the "pull" or impact, the seriousness of characters and story-line that the previous ME games had. With Shepard you had a serious character who was a hero even before doing anything heroic, your character felt strong and determined while here they are lighthearted and the threats are nothing near as serious of felt as serious as the reapers.

The continuity and connections of characters and stories in the past games were very well intertwined and didn't bore you quickly, there was more effort and characters felt more real, it was a game to immerse yourself in totally. MEA just could t do this for me, there is a lot to do and many side missions that really do become a drag after the 1st planet even and while yes there are improvements to some silly things of the previous games like resource farming being better here, the story and characters of the old games simply outshine MEA by such a margin I could forgive all the old game mistakes.

IMO this game is not worth 50% what they asking for it, they lost what ME was about and the feeling its characters and stories instilled on the player. If you can wait for it to drop in prices substantially, its well worth playing, but don't expect much of anything you felt for the previous games. EA still did well with Dragon Age Inquisition but what they did here was not nearly good enough. From the look and feel of MEA, its a good concept for a MMO and maybe we can look to that in the future.
