.The one thing you love about bioware is how in depth and emotional their stories are. Although they re not as open worlded as bethesda rpgs , their compelling plots more than make up for it. Player NPC interactions are another inherent characteristic of these games. You ll be a bit disappointed with that aspect this time around, since its total galactic do or die annihilation and there really isnt much time to waste on flirting.and bro talk.

Plot
Having left humanity alone during their last cycle of organic genocide, the reapers are back after 50,000 years to finish the job. The game starts with the reaper invasion of earth, Shepard has no choice but to leave earth and gather support from other galactic races. Sounds familiar? Yes , its kinda like dragon age origins, and you arent getting any allies for free either. You ll have to help each of them out, before they help earth. The main decision making part is concerned with choosing between some of these allies and watching the others(including the ones you care) go down,. Almost all the major characters from the first and second games return during different parts of this game.

Mass effect 3 is more of a hard science fiction genre, than the previous 2 . It really digs deep into the science part rather than present you with ambiguous reasons for why things are so. Despite this, the player NPC relationships havent been totally disregarded.

The Ending
The Much hyped about ending complaint by fans of the franchise isnt overrated. If there s one thing you love about fantasy/sci fi s , its their classic good against evil , light against darkness policy. This is what makes them epics.I mean really , how would you feel had tolkien showed the good side of sauron when frodo was about to destroy the ring or the archdemon tried to negotiate with your grey warden.The writers at bioware must have felt a 2001 space odyssey kick recently. Their official response to this is that the individually differing end that fans wanted was asking a bit too much , but i would ve settled for making the reapers bleed, There was some talk about the reaper leader Harbinger, and most were expecting a final epic showdown with it.The elimination of that boss fight and the injured shepard taking a ridiculously long time to move forward was just too annoying. So yes, if they can , they need to change the ending.
