Solid game, not too much has changed but the decisions do not have much impact in this part of the series.
Pros. The gameplay is smooth and refined. The controls still seem a little clunky as always but in a way that makes it feel like they should be. The graphics are slightly improved and will not disappoint. The multiplayer was a nice add on even though it is more of a coop match. The sound and music are amazing.
Cons. There seems to be not as much character development in this game. I did not feel attached to the squad-mates as I did in the previous games. The story had a few decisions but in the end essentially did not noticeably affect the ending. No matter what decisions you made throughout the 3 games, one could choose any of the 3 endings. This made me wonder if the ending was rushed. The ending left a lot unanswered, but I am sure there will DLC to "buy " to see what more happens. Some people griped about the stock photo of Tali, I did not mind, but I do wonder how she has 10 fingers now, in the game she had 3 on each hand.
My biggest gripe is day one DLC, especially since it involves a promethian. A huge part of the story, imo. Bioware says they created the content after the game was finished. The few things I mentioned above were half assed so I do not think the game was finished, if so it was rushed. And I do not appreciate getting lied to. So that drops my score 1 point.
So I give it a solid 8. Not higher because of the forgettable ending, DLC, and lies.
