User Rating: 10 | Mass Effect 3 PS3
I have to admit: I'm biased. I've been in love with this saga since ME1, owned every single console version of the series (both, Xbox 360 and PS3), and every piece of DLC available.

Still, I think if I say that ME3 sets the game story telling bar so high - it's not because of my bias. It's because that's a fact :) I can't imagine many games reaching that bar any time soon. Quite frankly, every game available right now, besides ME3, seems bland, simple, basic and uninspired. Yes, even Deus Ex: HR - a masterpiece in itself.

Many people complain about the ending, but the fact is - it's not as bad as people paint it to be. It leaves some questions as to what happened afterwards, makes you THINK. Not many games accomplish that.

It was the most emotional game I've played in awhile. And I think that's what makes it so great: it makes you CARE about characters in the game. It leaves you with a profound sense of loss, when you lose someone - as if you've lost someone very close to you. A friend. Maybe even a part of your family.

This is a pinnacle of video gaming art.

That being said, the game has plenty of technical issues, especially on the PS3. Graphical glitches, freezing, some people complaining about save game corruptions... Low frame rates and general legginess of the PS3 version are annoying, but not totally game braking - after a few minutes you grow so engrossed in the magnitude of the events taking place - you just stop paying attention to the technical glitches.

In one week I've completed the game twice already, and am on track for yet another play through - as a different character. It never feels stale, never feels old. Hell, I might as well just replay the entire series over again, starting with ME1!

If there's a game that certainly deserves buying - it's Mass Effect!
