Singleplayer is amazing as always, barring the end. Multiplayer is a fresh and very well realized addition to the series

While I am not a person who has played mass effect 1, I do fully understand the story and the universe that this amazing series has created. To keep it short; the story this time around is very well done and emotionally driving as we see our well-known and beloved characters fight their truly final battle. The emotional moments are just as gripping as they have ever been, and the choices, while not as hard, are still ones that won't be easy to decide on. The multiplayer is not just tacked on and can very much stand on its own, showing that the creators put in a lot of time and effort, and have made it so that the mass effect universe is much more realized as you are able to play as the various races that you have been fighting along side for so long.

Whether you're someone looking to finish of the series (until mass effect 4)or someone just looking for a very good co-op shooter horde mode, this is an amazing game. The bad to this game is that the ending leaves much to be desired and doesn't fully explain very important parts of the story, along with the renegade option not being as powerful as it has been known to be in previous games. The multiplayer is very much host-based, and can lead to performance issues for the non-hosting players. There are also classes that need obvious tweaks along with clearly underpowered weaponry, but most of this is negligible due to the sheer amount of options giving in multiplayer, from characters to guns.

Obtaining these characters and guns can be a bit of a problem though, since the RNG loot system in this game can make obtaining new gear a hassle at times, and bad teammates can make playing harder difficulty modes for more credits very annoying. It is a game I can without a doubt recommend, whether it's for the person who likes to play games for the story, or it's someone looking for a good co-op shooter.
