Hey guys,
I haven't played MP for about 5-6 months. Just did a Gold match and I have no idea whats going on. I did ok in the gold match, we finished it, me finishing 3rd.
Can someone explain to me what the extra stats are on the character sheet, like the other two stats besides the N7 rank. Also how do you unlock the new classes, just from packs like always, or are the N7 rank classes from the weekend challenges. I partially stopped because Bioware didn't include PS3 players in the challenges for awhile, but I see that now they participate in them as well.
Also how do you get a background portrait for your character sheet?
Thanks a bunch...and hopefully I'll be doing more MP from now on. Its still as fun as hell.

The problem with restraining speech is, who gets to set the rules? If it's only okay in a certain time or place, who gets to say what time and what place?

When you're in a lobby, it rotates three different numbers beneath your name. The one in red is your N7 level. The number in gold is challenge points (or is it medal points?). The number in blue is how many times you've promoted the class that you are currently using.
All characters are unlocked by buying packs from the MP store. The only items that can't be unlocked by purchasing packs from the store (whether it be real money or credits) are the promotional weapons. These are awarded through commendation packs, which you get by completing the weekend challenges. The promotional weapons are:
N7 Valkyrie
N7 Eagle
N7 Crusader
N7 Hurricane
N7 Valiant
There are also upgrades to the amount of medigel, etc that you can carry. These are typically awarded if the community reaches a certain goal.
The banners that appear behind your name are gained by completing challenges. At the main MP screen, scroll to the bottom and look for the Challenges category. There are several challenges you can complete for different banners. These vary widely from using certain weapons to fighting certain enemies and some are much harder to get than others.
You should check out the N7 HQ site. Bioware added it a couple of months ago and it's really helpful. You can see exactly what you have and have not unlocked, check your progress on challenges and achievements and more. If you get time, check it out:
http://social.bioware.com/n7hq/I think I answered all of your questions. Was there anything else you needed to know?
Also, if anyone notices something I got wrong, please correct me. I don't want to give out bad info.
