I read the plot to the new Star Trek movie Into the Darkness, I dont think this movie will be about Khan but rather some one else from Star Trek's past 1960's episode such as Mudd or someone along those lines.

When I read about Into the Darkness I felt like I was reading a Mass Effect plot but it seem similar of Mass Effect 2 cause the new movie has this Suicide Mission feel to it such as ME 2 did.

In Into the Darkness The Federation is in turmoil, Friendships are torn apart, Kirk is on a Manhunt for the man responsible.

Go ahead and read the plot to Into the Darkness and tell me you dont get that ME Feel from it.

While it isnt an exact copy of ME it does feel somewhat the same. So hopefully Khan will not be the villan in Into The Darkness either being its own unique deal,or someone from the 1960's would be alot better such as Mudd but done in a whole new way.

Now only if they could make a decent Star Trek game that would be just as awesome as Mass Effect would be truly awesome. The best Star Trek game was Star Trek Armada 1 & 2 also Elite Force.

It dosent reveal it all in the plot it just gives you a synapse of what to expect without the full spoilers of the film.

But to me it felt like ME 2 made into a Star Trek minus Shepard.

Thanks for the heads up TC. I loved the 2009 Star Trek movie and am thrilled that they are making a sequel to it.

Lets hope it is more like ME1/2 than 3.

My personal fave ST game to date would probably be A Final Unity.

OMG I Fogot I mispelled a word again someone call GAMEFAQS he mispelled a word wrong again.

What next my topics, my sentence structures oh never mind you already torn me down on another one of my topics for those issues now once again on the spelling.

Dude, I dont care if I spell a word wrong who cares. But for some reason you people do seem to care.

But from what I trying to say you should understand what I am trying to get across.

Yet other people mis-spell but you dont nit-pick and tear them down no just me like always.

Maybe I should nitpick and tear you people down for a change.

I type, I spell I do my own thing this is just boards not real life I dont care about a few mispelled words.

OMG The world is ending I mispelled a Word Wrong oh wait today isnt 12-21-12.

But people grow up or get a hobby but you all seem to have found one in nitpicking at everything I do it is getting on all my nerves.

Check out the other topics on other boards you wanna see disasters in spelling check those out.

But anyways to me Into the Darkness is some what reminisce of ME in terms of feeling but in away it isnt but it does have that ME 2 vibe to it.

Seems like JJ wants to destroy Star Trek 1st Vulcan now the Federation JJ is becoming like the Reapers he is destroying Star Trek but I do like these new reboots he is doing an awesome job. Unlike the Gay Black Robocop Reboot.

Keep up the awesome job just from the plot I was on my seat I can only imagine what the full deal will be like.

Also above Poster get your facts straight Atermis is Knights of the Old Republic 2 not Star Trek.

I read about 1/4th of that.

Anyway, you didn't misspell the word, you used a completely different word. Like if I were referring to my pet cat as a stapler. So when I say "I hate when my stapler throws up a hairball in front of my bedroom door", there is some confusion.

Also, Atermis is not KOTOR 2, Artemis is a bridge simulator that is basically like having a Star Trek crew play a game together. Get your facts straight.

I did enjoy the 2009 star trek movie as a stand alone film but I just can't get round the idea of star fleet captains flying around in their temporal ships of the 29th century going "Oh look a guy in a mining ship just wiped out most of the Vulcan population.... Oh well s*** happens..."

Having said that I am looking forward to the new film. From reading the synopsis it sounds a bit like Star Trek: Next Generation: Conspiracy.

    Evolution of art!
Mass effect 1 was heavily inspired by star trek, and its only natral that a reboot would look a lot like something that took a lot from it,

While mass effect did later become a pretty original story , mostly in 2 and 3 the entire series owes a lot to the original show and next gen

Think of it like this, if a old painter teaches his student the basics of his painting style, the student can go off grow and develop his skill but his basics and wteachings still remains,
And if the old painter picked up his brush again, then his paintings would look similar to his students because they share the same basics!

it felt like I was reading a ST TOS episode...because its taken straight from one. The villain is Gary Mitchell

From my research on Into The Darkness it seems to be pointing to 2 possibilities for the Villan Mitchell or Mudd as you people know those 2 played key roles in the 1960s series.

When it comes to Star Trek I am just as passionate about it as I am ME, the deal with it they have never made a modern game up-to date worth a damn.

Yeah there have been some cool games in the past about Trek but that was years or a decade ago.

They need to make a Star Trek game that would combine all aspects of everything all of the Shows, the Mythology the Characters and even the Movies and make it like a ME Experience but done in its own way.

Star Trek has that potential to have an excellent video game about it but so far has failed to make a decent game Bunjie or Bioware could do Star Trek justice but they are busy with Destiny and Mass Effect 4.

For now I will watch Into the Darkness for those wondering who will be the villian it wil be that Cumber guy he will either play Mudd or Mitchell as the new villan.

Spock Prime will not be in Into the Darkess neither will Khan.

But to me Into the Darkness does have that ME vibe to it.
