i mean, why get the wraith when the graal exists
why get the graal when the claymore exists
why get the claymore when the gps exists
Are you implying the GPS is better than the Wraith, Graal, AND Claymore?
First how the hell did this get to 100 replies and i don't like the graal believe it or not its not a gun of my choice
The Graal definitely has a higher learning curve than most, so it's understandable. It also relies heavily on host connection (but then, I never play when I'm not host).

July 18, 2011. Megaman Legends 3 has been cancelled. Today, I mourn. Here remains a reminder of what could have been.

Posting because I'm bored and realized no one ever really did compare the three guns and just kinda went off into a discussion that led nowhere (Except people avoiding questions*cough*).
Human Soldier with Alliance Training 6. Weapon Damage/Headshot Bonus/Weapon Damage. All weapons Lv.10 with High Caliber Barrel and Shredder Mod 5. DPS' assume a reload cancel every time.
Damage Per Shot.
GPS Uncharged: 980.2.
GPS Charged: 2,178.2.
Wraith: 1,559.2.
Claymore: 2,513.2.
Damage Per Headshot.
GPS Uncharged: 980.2.
GPS Charged: 2,178.2.
Wraith: 4,409.1.
Claymore: 7,107.
Sustained DPS:
GPS Uncharged: 775.4.
GPS Charged: 423.8.
Wraith: 1,013.4.
Claymore: 1,270.4.
Sustained DPS vs. Armor:
GPS Uncharged: 775.4.
GPS Charged: 423.8.
Wraith: 922.4.
Claymore: 1,199.6.
Sustained HS DPS:
GPS Uncharged: 775.4.
GPS Charged: 423.8.
Wraith: 2,865.8.
Claymore: 3,592.4.
Sustained HS DPS vs. Armor:
GPS Uncharged: 775.4.
GPS Charged: 423.8.
Wraith: 2,774.8.
Claymore: 3.521.6.
The biggest difference between the Claymore and Wraith against non-boss enemies is that the Claymore can kill a Phantom and Hunter in a single headshot, assuming the grouping on your bullets is close enough. Where as the Wraith requires two headshots. And the GPS requires two charged shots.
Once again. The actual stats don't mean a whole lot on these three in particular as they're all great guns. It's a matter of preference. Take the GPS for example. Looking at those stats it looks pretty bad. But I still do pretty well with it when in a game with others using a Claymore and/or Wraith.
Here's hoping I spark another discussion to come back and read later for more entertainment. >_>
P.S. **** the Katana.

I must ask how you got those numbers exactly? The GPS seems stronger than that

No statistics but, just my two cents. It's not a bad gun, it's the most well balanced shotgun in the game I think.
But it lacks the full control and range of the GPS, and the unrivaled burst damage of the Claymore which is made even better by the reload cancel trick. GPS is great in conjunction with powers since you have so much control over when you release charges, and the Claymore goes great with the right setups and excels with Tactical Cloak. Wraith just doesn't feel like it excels at anything like the other two do to me but it's by no means bad, it's a great gun if people like a more all around approach.

The wraith shotgun is my fav and is best IMO. Most others will say otherwise but really I guess its more of a preference thing than one gun being better than the other. However I can deal out more damage with a wraith in a 10 sec time span so I like it best.
The problem with the wraith is its an ultra rare so lvling it up takes forever. So other guns will outshine a low lvled wraith. For example eviscerator x is better than a wraith II but wraith x is superior. Its just a pain to lvl up but it is the best. Screw anyone that says otherwise. I'm so tired of scrubs on here thinking they know best without properly testing everything out.

you guys DO realize that no matter how many numbers, events from personal experience, or whatever your n7 level is... because the two weapons FEEL differently beyond just actual aim-shoot, one is better or not better based on preference alone right???
In the right hands one is always better.
Technically, in my hands, the Reegar is better than both the Wraith and Claymore combined. :3
Yeah, but the Reegar is just evil, my personal favorite aside from the Wraith/Eviscerator but still.
