I liked the synthesis ending. My only complaint is that I want to know more what happens to Aria? Does she take back Omega?
  • Apr 19, 2012 10:39 am GMT
That would make some good DLC.
  • Apr 19, 2012 11:45 am GMT
    Indeed.

If you like the ending and agree with it how the hell would you think Aria took back Omega??? lmao wtf she is dead like the rest of the galaxy

Because while you make a valid point, the DLC that Bioware would release has already been confirmed as taking place during the events of ME3, so it stands to reason that she would still have access to troops, supplies, and anything else she may want via the Mass Relays since they are still around until literally the last 15 seconds of the game.

The end of the game advertises in-game for DLC. This is enough for me to hate it. Thank God for a used market, because I will NEVER support that kind of practice by buying new.

Cloud computing and digital-only content = the lack of consumer control over games and the loss of retrogaming. And they call this progress.

Aria would probably take over but I dont know what would keep her in the position of power. I would have to assume that once the Mass Relays and space travel are gone that the power she held over others would vanish

I wouldn't be so surprised if they decided to make Aria a squad member somewhere down the line, which would be pretty awesome.

July 18, 2011. Megaman Legends 3 has been cancelled. Today, I mourn. Here remains a reminder of what could have been.

I'm pretty sure this is the end of the series though.

Casey Hudson stated during an interview that this would be the last game that we say that was about commander Shepard though.

great game great ending. As far as a last boss goes...those husks & marauder were harder than that joke of a last boss in ME2.

For those arguing about whether or not Shepard survives at the end of the destroy option. According to Mass Effect Wiki (don't know how reliable they are), Shepard does in fact survive if you have high enough war assets. Also, according to them if your war assets are not high enough the crucible's beam could also end up harming organics not only synthetics.

The only issue I take with this ending (destroy option) is that after all the hard work of uniting Geth with Quarians, the geth have to be destroyed to save the galaxy (and so does EDI).

As for the IT theory I don't think there's enough evidence for it and the Prothean VI disproves it as it speaks with Shepard. Then when Kai Leng shows up it closes up since it says it detects an indoctrinated individual approaching. It would only make sense if only the last 20 minutes of the game were an attempt to indoctrinate Shepard (but the original IT claims it's happening since the beginning of the game).

The thing is with that is Shepard is fighting becoming Indoctrinated(Theory Wise). Compared as to everyone else(the baddies) were fully indoctrinated.

Edit: Also, did the destroy option not state that the option would kill Shepard as well? Yet, given high enough EMS you view the gasping breath(Assumption alive or never happened 'IT'). So, what's to say that the option truly killed the Geth and EDI? Maybe it's just something they were just trying to toss out there to move Shepard away from that option. -Shrug-

To the TC, why do you want people to help you be angry?

I wish I could be happy with the ending.

I wish I knew what Crysis Core was, then I'd know what you're talking about. Or was your post responding to someone else?

    Dakucloud:

The catalyst tells you that if you chose the destroy option that it will destroy the reapers, geth and their technology, considering EDI is an AI, I assume that option would also destroy her (Mass Effect wiki says it will destroy all synthetics); she's also partly reaper tech. Notice how she does not get off the Normandy if you chose that option, yet she does if you chose control option.

Because someone tells you one thing, do you believe it automatically without hesitation? That's called being gullible. I'm not saying it's lieing, but I'm not saying it's true either. I understand that the choice is -supposed- to kill all Synthetics and technology. But the point remains, why is Shepard alive(Assuming it even happened in the first place and if Shep is even alive during that scene).

Also, just because you didn't see her get off the Normandy doesn't mean she's dead. If we abide by that logic, may as well say only 3 people of your entire team survived.

    Darkcloud:

Because we have nothing else to go by, those were the 3 options BW chose and the consequences of those actions are explained by the catalyst. I don't remember if the catalyst says you'll die if you do the destroy option, but I do recall him saying that you'll die if you do the control option. I have never done the synthesis option so I don't know exactly what happens in that situation. I have also never seen the scene where shepard breaths so I don't know exactly where he's at (is he shown on earth or the citadel?), but Im currently replaying the game to try and get the scene.
