(Spoilers) Do your squad members survive the final mission?

Joker, your love interest and one of the two who accompanied you to Earth are seen exiting the Normandy after it crash lands in one of the endings

That is never really said. In my experience, Garrus and the DLC squadmate made the run with me, and later the DLC squadmate walked out of the Normandy. So the assumption is that they did survive.

And actually, if you pick the synthesis ending, Joker is followed by EDI, then the love interest.

On my playthrough, my LI was in my squad and was seen exiting the Normandy. However, given the ambiguity of the 3 endings, my answer is yes they can survive, but for how long? Don't know.

Well, if you believe the indoctrination theory, we don't yet know. After all, everything after the explosion on that last run is supposedly just the indoctrination process. If you have a low EMS, you supposedly see the corpses of the two you ran with as you hobble to the beam, but again it's all part of an attempt to indoctrinate you.

Later, they appear emerging from the Normandy after it crashes. However, this is an illusion as well, so we don't really know if they survived.

If you DON'T believe in the indoctrination theory, then that's just a constant factor of discontinuity. Who knows?

Your squadmates' survival is based on your Effective Military Strength. If your EMS is too low, the squadmates accompanying you on the final charge will be killed by Harbinger. Low EMS may also result in the Normandy crash-landing with no survivors.

The question is dependent on whether you downloaded the EC or not.

Generally, if you play the standard game without DLC, your squadmates simply disappear during the beam run, and may appear walking out of the Normandy at the end of the game. This is dependent on (A) your Effective Military Strength, and (b) which squadmates you used most throughout the game.

In the Extended Cut, depending on your EMS, the Normandy will either land and extract the two squadmates you brought with you on the beam, or Harbinger will incinerate them during the run as they try to get up from the wreckage around them.

It's dependent on your EMS. (SPOILERS) If your Effective Military Strength is high enough, they will be rescued by the Normandy. If not, you will see their corpses laying dead as you slowly make your way to the Conduit after being injured.

Well, it depends on EMS and if you have the Extended Cut. If you do, the Normandy will come down and take your squad-mates back with it. If you don't have high enough EMS they'll be vaporized. This was posted over a year ago and that was one of the many plot holes that the new ending fixed.
