Can I get both Quarians and Geth w/o ME1 playthrough?

I never played Mass Effect 1 but played through mass effect 2 with all characters loyal except Jack, in addition, all squadmates survived the suicide mission and I did all the upgrades. All I want for my ME3 playthrough is to get both the Quarians and the Geth. Can I do that or should I play ME1?

ME1 is not necessary for the peaceful resolution of the Geth/Quarian conflict, 2 is necessary though,

ME2 Choice
Prevent Tali's Exile with her loyal-2(may need verification on an unloyal and acquitted Tali)
Destroy the Heretics-2
Legion and Tali Conflict Resolved peacefully-1
Legion alive

ME3 choices
Save Admiral Koris-1
Complete the Geth Server Mission-1

Using the above scoreboard, getting 5 or more points will allow the peaceful option

    No you just need to make sure in ME2 that Tali does not get exiled and you rewrote heritic geth finish all missions on Ronnok before reaper base you also need high rep and paragon

    Just as a clarification, you can broker peace regardless of whether you destroyed or rewrote the heretics. The strategy guide will say otherwise, but I have done it. If you destroy the heretics, the Quarians take less damage and are worth more assets, and if you rewrite, the Geth fleet is stronger and worth more. In all other aspects, Charmile is correct with their numbers.

    Yes, you can broker peace just by having an ME2 import with certain variables completed. However, if you import a saved game where Legion is not alive (or was sold to Cerberus), the peace option will be impossible to obtain.
