We had Mass Effect 2 on our stage show for E3 2009!
Just completed Mass Effect 1 & I am now awaiting Mass Effect 2.. It sure doesn't look much different but I can't wait for it!
I've just started the first game and it's amazing. I'm going to complete this game 100% (ish) before moving onto the second though. Because if what I heard is correct, Mass Effect players can use the first game's save file for the second game. If so, I'm stoked. :D
@goku- unless you're a real idiot? i doubt that. bioware has made it pretty clear that depending on choices you make, even ones you feel are right, you could die. or someone else dies. its happened in all bioware games, well never with the main character, but sometimes you make a call that you stand behind but someone in your party doesn't agree with. sometimes it leads to an altercation, they leave, or you have to kill them. they're just taking it one step further now. so i don't think whether your character lives or dies will have anything to do with intelligence. i think the developers will throw plenty of curveballs at the players this time and i cant wait to play it to find out.
I like the fact that they improved some of the issues I had with the first one. Even with the game installed on my harddrive, I was still getting texture pop-up and frame rate drops when things got hectic. Also the shooting aspect looks to have been improved a lot too. Basically I can't wait for this game. It is one of the reasons I love my Xbox 360 :D
"A suicide squad for a suicide mission you're not expected to survive." yeaaaah......well he's the one that wiped out an evil alien armada not 2 years, plus he's the main character.....so yeah. I say unless you're a real idiot, you're gonna live.
better on all fronts. I'm close to finishing the first one...I'll want to play it again using a different profile and more evil play style just to see what kinda stuff happens if you choose to go one way or the other.
This game looks a lot better, also a much darker story which brings emotion in a game. Can't wait to play it
Didn't kill wrex in the first..............i wonder if you still have "Relations" with what ever her name and the other girl
so glad the enemies r gonna be smarter in the first one the not so smart enemies really took away from the movie like feel
Dang.. I wish I killed off Ashley, but she was the sniper of my group. I'm going to have to make sure to play it again before this game comes out. Whatever, I'll just wait untill 2010 to kill her off. Racist amazonian...
I hope it is better than the first one. The first one only had a handful of major places which had very little to do and weren't very good. I seem to remember not all the dialogue being cutscene-like like they advertised. The exploration planets were ok for awhile but they were all the same thing basically. One was blue, one was white, and so on. All the side quests on those planets were the exact same, even down to the building layouts. Originally advertised in Mass Effect 1 you could individually control each character and move position them as wanted. It takes you out of feeling like you ARE the commander, but I wouldn't mind it. There were a couple glaring plotholes too. I hate to complain but I hope this is better. Flying the starship would be interesting, I agree.
I had hopes for more. I would like to see more exploration of these big cities instead of cut scenes. It seems they are focusing more on FPS action than RPG elements...I want more RPG elements cause the FPS action I thought was perfect in the first one. Also some different gameplay would be nice...starship flying anyone? This looks more like DLC for Mass Effect one than a whole new game but I'm sure I will get it anyways because the first game is so awesome.
LOL yeah were not goona tell you what it is but its threatening all life in the galaxy....HMMM i wonder what that could be
@collision115 They didn't say the human faction was the new bigger problem, they just happened to be a part of the level they demonstrated. The new problem wasn't revealed.
Oh my... awesome! Along with Dragon Age, this was my game of E3 2009. I have played, replayed and re-replayed M.E.1 and am STILL enjoying the experience. Oh and the music is one of the finest gaming soundtracks EVER!!
wow, that looks really slick. You think they'll address the extreme pop in issue that plagued the first game on the 360? I like the tighter combat. Is it coming to Ps3?
Excited, no doubt, but I have well over a hundred hours on M.E. 1 and I have colossus X armor for every character. This game looks to be leaps and bounds above the last game but I don't want all my hard work to be in vain.
Totally jonesing now. I want to know what kind of closure there might be from the previous characters (I know i'm not the only one that is wondering if there might be an Asari daughter running around :D). And that new white girls looks SERIOUS - a vast step up from Ashley if you ask me. If this new one is less whiney, i'm sold.
I'd like to know if there's a canon ending or not, since it's a trilogy. If Sheperd dies in your story arc, what happens in the next game? Well, I guess him not dying would probably be the canon ending.
Excited snuff indeed.. Enjoyed the first one .. So looking forward to this. Needs more plot twists than the first. less perdurable.. The smart AI looks sweet .. MY PANTS ARE A BIT DAMP
