Bioware have proven once again why this amazing space and adventurous shooter has its place so high on the charts.

User Rating: 9.5 | Mass Effect 2 (French) PS3
Let me start off by saying Bioware have really nailed it this time with this amazing shooter. Great and adventurous long story, extra missions, downloadable content, unstoppable action, amazing graphics enhanced with next year's Mass Effect 3 engine. What more can you want? There's at least thirty hours of gameplay, and when you think you're done, they'll throw something right back at you to keep the commander's hands tied. There are also side missions you get by visiting places like the Citadel, these places sometimes have people who need your help.
The graphics in the game still amaze me and it's been a really long time since I started the game, to think that you can get used to a game's graphics but when it has graphics of Mass Effect 2 for the PS3, you never miss one time to stop and look around at the realistic environment, or the great glowing armor, or the amazing realistic faces of characters. The graphics of Mass Effect 2 really make you feel like you're in the game and living outside of Earth. Cutscenes were also a great add to this game. Very realistic as usual, and filled with action. One can watch a cutscene all night and not think of the time pass by.
The game's gameplay is simply amazing, great, abnormal, unbelievable and much more words to describe this shooters gameplay. So much action, so much aliens or even humans at times to shoot at, biotic powers allow you to control your enemies and send them flying, or smash them to the floor. The infiltrator career allows you to use your cloak and allow you to be invisible for a couple seconds which gives you a tactical and fun advantage over your poor enemies behind them. You can also have your two chosen teammates to help you out by giving you cover, ordering them to a specific place, ordering them to execute the enemy with a specific power. Sometimes things will blow up if you're not careful, there are sometimes explosive crates, and they will be hidden pretty well sometimes.
As well as the variety of weapons also depend on what career you've chose. The "Soldier" career can carry just about any (Any I believe) weapon there is. The "Infiltrator" career however can only carry sub machine guns, machine pistols, heavy pistols, rocket launchers, but the "Soldier" career has much more variety of weapons. Weapons overall are amazing, there are so much to choose from, you can also buy some weapons from PSN and other extra content. I have all extra content (Armor and Weapons) and they amaze me.
Upgrades is also one of the features in this fine game, for as far as upgrades go, they can keep you busy for a whole load of time. You can upgrade your ship to give it weapons, extra armor, and a medical bay to heal your scars you get at the beginning of the game. You can also use staff upgrades, to improve staff skills, and powers, as well as yourself. Staff and character upgrades are extremely important in this game as those upgrades help improve your health and shield, as well as your powers. You can also unlock research upgrades that you must pay for. Upgrades include weapons upgrades (Extra ammo for example), armor upgrades, ship upgrades, prototype upgrades and more.
You can also explorer many other places and galaxies, in each of those galaxies there are usually unique planets as well. This is where the adventure comes into the game. In order to pay for upgrades (Not Staff Upgrades, they are earned through completing missions) you must have the specific amount of items required. You can explore planets, and get them from missions. Also some people may pay you for doing jobs for them.
Overall Bioware has done and amazing job at entertaining gamers with this shooter now on the PS3. What I have reviewed in this game is not nearly enough to cover the rest of the features of the game. Your decisions in Mass Effect 2 effect the story, and your decision now can effect you. What are you waiting for? Get to your nearest retail store and pick up a copy.
