This game is the closest thing to perfection in a game I have ever played.

User Rating: 10 | Mass Effect 2 PC
Im biased. Mass Effect I was probably my all time favorite game. So Mass Effect II was something I was looking forward to for a long time. Now its here, and im so blown away by the game.

Everything about it (aside from a very few minor bugs that I've no doubt will be fixed with patches in the near future) is exactly how it should be. I was impressed with ME I, with the amount of time and thought and effort that was put into it. All the background to the planets, the ideals the characters had, their personalities, the lore. It was immense and impressive.

Triple that, at least, and thats what they put into ME II. On top of all that, they made the combat incredibly fluid and intense. The UI works well on PC, its all right there grouped around WASD.

At first play I was a bit disappointed that they reduced the amount of skills, you now have a limited set, ammo and a few biotic/ tech powers. There is no more hacking computers. Well, there is actually but your character is capable of hacking anything with their omni-tool, which plays a much larger role in ME II. The point is, Im not disappointed anymore, and in fact like the new system much better. Its slimmed down and more akin to a true shooter than ME I. Your shots are as good as your aim is steady. There is no weapon skill. Your only as good as you are. Now its ammo, and it makes sense. Every time you change types, your character turns a dial on their weapon and switches over. Attention to details like that are what make this game mind blowing.
