Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 20 to 40 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Instant classic"
I have an strong attachment to these series of fighting games, specially the ones that come from classic Dreamcast era, so I just had to get the "Special Edition" when it came out. The presentation of the game is incredible, everything is very fluent and it's a big clutter of fighting bonanza. There's a good balance between the Capcom and the Marvel universe, so nobody has their feelings hurt and if you know how to use the characters right they all have a fair chance to win, from the small Viewtiful Joe to the massive Sentinel.
There are a few game modes, from the classic arcade stile when a tag three vs three match happens and you have the ability to switch in between your characters any time you want. For a single player, this is where you probably be spending most of you time. The other mode is the mission, with consist on you learning and performing the moves that each character has, and it get's really challenging on the most advanced ones.
The online mode is pretty good, takes a little too long to find matches but they can be a lot of fun if you're good with the combos, which is not my case, so I have fun getting defeated by most people.
Overall, this is a great title for any fighting fan, from the amazing graphics to the cheesy lobby music from the menus, really a charm that this series is knows for. It's a must have for me.

This being the first Marvel vs. Capcom game that I've purchased, it was definitely worth it.
