Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds User Review

MvC3 is initially very awesome, but loses it's appeal very quickly

The Bottom Line:
"Mixed reactions"
To start things out, "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" is NOT a bad game. Actually, it's a very fun game and it should not be in the bargain bin. However, if you're not an absolute expert at fighting games, you will be trampled on in this game. The game has two modes essentially: offline and online matches. Offline Arcade Mode is easy to ace, and will leave you feeling like Chuck Norris. It's when you take your fight to the Online arena that will make you feel handicapped instead.
Clearing the air a bit, the game isn't bad because it's difficult. One must really figure out for oneself, because the experience really is a personal one, especially since the graphics can be so appealing. Each character in the game is detailed perfectly and acutely. They are so detailed that some of them look out of place, which is a good thing. Each character also fights in his/her own distinct way, which adds to the game's appeal as well.

If you're thinking about getting this game, rent or borrow it first. After a few rank ups in Online mode (players are given a rank based on how many matches they have won), you will be pitted against players that are a higher rank than you instead of players on your exact level. This is highly frustrating and is the sole reason that the game falls a little under the bar.
GAMER BEWARE -- YOU'RE IN FOR A CONTROLLER THROWING SESSION

Despite it's difficulty, the game is very fun and its intense matches will keep your heart racing. The characters are fully realized, and future DLC is certain to be a delight. It's time to blow up Capcom's website with DLC requests, fanboys, because the game's colorful cast can only get better. MvC3 could certainly use an upgrade; perhaps another version of the game is needed, like "Super Street Fighter IV", with tweaked movesets and extra content.
