It's actually pretty easy (I suppose you're trying to get the herculean task trophy). The first thing you have to do is select simple fighting mode, then as your team choose taskmaster with alpha assist, chris with beta assist and doom with alpha assist. Now, the easiest way to do this is to set the time to 30 seconds and the damage to very high. During the fights you just have to press triangle to fire your arrows and use assist now and then and also use your hyper combo whenever you can. If taskmaster dies do the same thing with chriss and/or doom.

My Best team consists of Deadpool, Wolverine, X-23, Dante, Trish, Captain America or Akuma. Mainly the first 4 though. They're the fastest and deal pretty good midrange damage. I know this may be cheap, but if you can get the opponent backed into a corner, keep using Dante's Guitar slide move and it should keep them airborn, leaving them unable to attack. There are times when they recover between the continuation of the Guitar Slide and are able to block it and get back to the ground.

I went with Akuma, his electric leg kick is steller, Taskmaster is amazing, he may not seem like it but if you used his charged arrow of hawkeye it does quite a bit...as well as I do like x-23 because of her incredible speed. As for the final boss I like to keep my distance and just spam his with strong projectiles, so Taskmaster, Magneto's Projectile is powerful and very quick, and deadpools machine guns, just keep at a distance, fire untill it looks like he is gonna attack then go back at it....if he grabs you use an assist, it will knock you loose so he won't totally murder your character, but usually i can get him about 3/4's down with taskmaster's arrow of hawkeye before he kills him, sometimes i can kill him completely, goodluck........
btw surprisingly after the 3rd round I had no trouble on very hard....strange I know....its like the first three kicked my butt (especially since storm just spams whirlwind, and sentinel is just pure evil), but after that I never died... -
Depends
If you're looking for a very quick team then pick Wolverine X-23 and Felicia
If youre looking for a team that can chain combos really good then you could pcik Dante Deadpool Amaterasu Morrigan
But its up mainly up to you -
Any combination can work thats the beauty of this game BUT its up to how good you are which will determine victory or defeat.

Iron Man, Capt. America & Zero. You want to structure your team based on the final boss.
-
Well blocking plays a big part for the AI.So i used iron man, deadpool, and hulk.Uni beam and gamma wave are good partner assists.Good luck.
-
Well...by all rights, you should use the team you are most comfortable with. For the team titled "Team OP": Try Akuma, Sentinel and Ryu. Projectile spam all the way :)

well, as stated by someone else earlier it depends on who you're best with. I do agree with cachalote's answer though, to be completely honest. that works rather well and is a complete dick move in general. same with Maverickx25. projectile spam = dick move. buuuuuuuuut, it works for Arcade so you can do that.
my preferred team though is Dante, Zero, and then the third character depends. Dr. Doom has a great assist in the form of giant laser, Akuma or Ryu are great characters to have for spamming projectiles or corner spamming, and Wesker is just fun for me to play as. there are other characters that you can use to fill your third slot as well that I think goes great with the above mentioned combination. unfortunately, the above mentioned 2 have lower health. on the upside, higher output damage if you can combo right. and Deadpool... well... he's just fun to mess around with. but, I suggest a good zoning character for that 3rd slot. that way your whole game isn't based around pounding there face in up front - You can do it from afar too! -
Arcade mode becomes very easy with this team:
Sentinel
Doom secret missiles
Haggar lariat
Spam hard attack for laser with Sentinel and Doom secret missiles assist, just mash the buttons like crazy, only if someone comes near to you use Haggar assist -
Dark Phoenix with X-Factor pretty much drains Galactus's heath bar since he can't block, and her moves are so strong that she gets half a hyper combo bar with each heavy attack.

The answer is simple: Sentinel Alpha, Ironman Alpha, the other char you want to see the ending.
1) put the time in 30sec
2) start walking back and spam Ironman as assist and do High, down High to fire Sentinel's mouth beam
3) when the enemy is close, do Sentinel's BnB combos and keep away
4) when you face Galactus, high jump and do Medium, High, Rocket Punch. Whenever he tries to attack you, do Hard Drive hyper
5) If Sentinel dies and took good part of his life, try high jumping with Ironman and do Medium, High, Special, smart bomb spam
6) When his life is low, let Ironman die
7) activate X Factor and kill him with the other char -
ok i got the herculean task trophy like 4 times for my friends so i have proof to my claims, the team i used was Dante:crystal shot sentinel: s.charge and magneto disruptor blast
its mostly just spamming long ranged attacks because on very hard mode everyone is god
use dantes missle attack and spam either magneto or sentinel assists, if you manage to get a hit on the characters use the low guitar attack and follow it up with fireworks and end with million dollars ifyou have as.c gauge, if hes down swith to magneto and spam long range attacks with the assist, if he die with sentinel ALWAYS use down triangle ive noticed that they always fall for that move ALWAYS once you do that press the special move button to send him in the air for a aerial combo. do that for every stage and you'll be done before you know it, cheers! -
Ekisperto guide is nice to get all very hard titles

Sent, Doom w/Hidden Missles and whoever else you want. Pick someone with a beam hyper combo like Ryu or Dormmamu.

I found that the easiest way to beat Very Hard Mode is to have Taskmaster as your 1st and Doctor Doom as your 34rd. Your 2nd can be whoever you want a very hard title for.
You'll want the time to be set to 30 and damage to highest.
Taskmaster should spam 236+L (hold it for a burst) which keeps the A.I. away. Highest damage makes it damage quite a lot even when they block it. Call Doctor doom's plasma beam assist or hidden missile assist occasionally and you'll win.
Upon fighting Galactus, spam against the first 2 enemies. When Galactus shows himself, wait for him to do nothing or walk around, then X-Factor and press L for a hyper combination. Proceed to combo him or spam him, guarding his attacks.
Once he's on very very low hp switch to the character you want to get the title for and use their special/kill galactus.
Congrats, you beat it and got a title for the character you want.
PROTIP: Use simple mode to spam more. -
Sentinel and doom do a good job
u can include deadpool and dante too
