Over 50 characters from the Capcom and Marvel universes and great 2D fighting action.
It's not just about quantity too,the gameplay is exciting and over the top and in enjoyable way.The combos are easy to do(to do some combos,all you'll need to do is press one button repeatedly and perform simple D-Pad movements).The super combos are very powerful and can be done at the press of a button,and the special moves are easy to execute.
Each team has 3 characters,2 of them fight in tag team mode,and a 3rd person is a minor support character(they only can do 1 attack at the press of a button and leave the screen)but it's a sneaky way you can attack your opponent.However,after one of your characters has been Koed,that 3rd person will become a tag team partner.
I've seen many people say this game is too hard,but there is some strategies that work well against the CPU and you have to time your attacks well and choose the right attacks at the right time,because mistakes can be punished severely.
The characters fight in the style they're famous for,while still keeping the game balanced.Ryu uses the Shotokan style,Spider Man can trap you in his web and jump high and swing all over the place using his web.Hulk uses his strength to pound you.Wolverine uses speed and his claws.Cyclops can perform his eye beams,including a powerful eye beam attack.Mega Man can shoot energy blasts at the press of a button.
The graphics are colorful and I like how they have a comic influence to them too(some of the Marvel characters say things using speech bubbles).
When you do super combos,there's colorful lighting effects.
The music has a Jazz sound and I find it relaxing and a nice change from the intense music.
This is a very enjoyable game,and rare,so if it sounds like it's your type of game,pick it up while you can.
