Capcom's Dreamcast fighting game is coming to the PlayStation 2 this year. Find out how PS2 version compares with the original inside.

Capcom's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was an insanely popular Dreamcast game. The DC version of the game was a picture-perfect port of the arcade original, and it featured tons of characters, a number of different modes, and the same sort of air-combo-happy gameplay that fans of the "versus" series love. Now, the game is coming to the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox.

The PlayStation 2 version of the game plays very closely to the Dreamcast version. The timing is right on, and the control is solid. Graphically, the game looks an awful lot like the arcade version. The 2D sprites mixed with 3D backgrounds look nice. The one odd-looking thing in the game are the life bars, which had strange shimmery look to them.

Capcom is planning to ship the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 later this year.
