Man I have been playing this game for over a year, I have been putting off this review for a very long time, but the sequel will be out soon so I need to get it out of the way. I still do not know where to start. On the PSP version this game starts out with 18 playable superheroes. You can unlock 9 more as you progress through the game. It is basically a beat em up, with many ways to customize the heroes you are using in the game. The game has a lot of content for a PSP game and if you were every a fan of comic books then you really need to have this game in your collection. I have beating the game like 3 times and I still can not figure out what my "Ultimate Alliance" is...from Spider Man to Ironman to Blade, every team I put together ends up having a hero I really like. So my goal is to build my ultimate team that I will use for the rest of the series, there is already another game coming out "Ultimate Alliance 2" I would like to carry my roster over to the next game. Some of the classic bad guys are missing from the overall story though. Magneto, Kingpin, Red Skull, Green Goblin, but there a many that did make the cut like Loki, Dr Doom, Mandarin & Bullseye. Its not just a button masher, you have skill to get rid of many of the enemies you have to face. If you have a PSP, get this game. If you have any system get this game. You should enjoy it.
