Interesting characters to choose from makes this difficult and extremely hard game to find fun to play.

User Rating: 8.2 | Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems SNES
In this game you can be Captain America, the incredible Hulk, the invicible Iron Man, the amazing Spider-Man, or Wolverine. There are ten levels to choose from (some are unlocked as you complete more levels) and you can choose any character to play on any level you wish. As you pick a character (there's a strategy to the character picked and which level) you choose your level and you go through it. You battle cloned characters of yourself and other Marvel characters. It's similar to the Infinity Wars and Infinity Gaunlet mini-series that Marvel Comics came out with during the early or mid-90s. If you know anything about those series then you know the main villian of the game is Thanos. Other villians and level bosses are Nebula, Blackheart, Dr Doom, Magus, Evil Hulk, Evil Thing, Evil Daredevil, Evil Sasquatch, Evil Wolverine, and Evil Wolverine. This game is very difficult to play and play well. Have fun trying to beat it, because I've never been able to beat Thanos. The character diversity is a standout feature, but more so than that the graphics are incredily well done. I was imediately impressed with them as soon as I played the game the first time. I didn't first play the game until after I'd gotten a N64 and PS, and I was still impressed. The sound quality of the game isn't great. For a SNES game it's okay, but I think they put most of their time and effort into the graphics. Overall this is a very fun game especially for any Marvel fan-boy. It's loads of fun, and is a good precusor to the Marvel vs Capcom game that came out later on the PS and Dreamcast.
