Isn't the whole point of an MMO to create your own custom character? Having 400 wolverines running around would completely destroy immersion. Dumb Idea....

It was the part where he said "you can play as a whole guild of Wolverines" that shows they really take the Marvel Universe seriously. I think they missed a real opportunity here to let you play Incredible Captain Iron Spider America Vision Hulk Man, because hey, it's all just a bunch of stupid superheroes or something anyway.
Been playing the open beta. YES it's still in beta till next month but from the looks of it and the feel of it I'm not going to bother. I for one hate having a copycat hero, I like creating my own and feeling a sense of uniqueness. Not only that but the levels seem boring, too cut and dry.... Just my BETA opinion. It may slightly change on launch IDK.

As usual the Throckmortons are bashing a game that is still in beta. They will complain about the game but still buy it, level up a character to max, and then log in EVERYDAY just to whine about it.
I can't believe why there's no ideal games coming out. I like a new game called Age of Wushu, something like a fancy and real action Kung Fu movie. It's the innovative combat system made the game.
Why do they always have people who are horrible gamers do Demos? This guy constantly was running over the health and power orbs when his health and/or power were already full....
how is this different then Marvel Ultimate Allience? Microtransactions?
There are games you can make your own hero DC Universe, City of Heroes, Champions Online.

@lorider25 I'm right there with you. I really don't care about playing in the Marvel universe though. To me, making a unique character is the reason I played Superhero MMO's. I didn't like DCUO, I thought Champions was dull and i really regret that City of Heroes was dropped because it was the best of its genre in my opinion.
This resembles DCUO quite a bit so I don't know if its my cup of tea but I'll try it.
I will definitely give this game a chance when it comes out. I wonder why does Ironman run like he has a piston stuck up his @$$?

The game does need more polish yes but it's fun, the different heroes do truly play differently, and it's free.
2 Like If you haven't played the beta then stfu. This game is lots of fun. The heroes are very different from one another, the crafting is actually interesting, and the mix of "mmo" and action is actually very interesting. All these haters need to get a life.
1 Like Sorry to say this but this game sucks cerealy. All of the powers look the same, it looks like there isnt any kind of player customization to differentiate yourself. Cyclops is supposed to fire optic beams not optic blobs.

What happened here is that Marvel wanted a cash trap "game" for all the Marver fanboys, and to advertise their products (comics,figues,movies etc.) without wasting too much money.
Hiring Diablo developers was just for the hype. They generaly never cared to create a decent game, just to get the money from the fanboys and Marvel as well.
So, this is the result.A not even half decent cash trap.

However with this kinda shit its laughable what was Marvel Thinking Green lighting this turd?...Corporate Ass puppetry at its worst..Disney was clearly the reason for this decision.....

@ngawak03 yes the flying heros can fly, not sure how epic the flight is but they did say they can fly. Believe it drains "mana" or whatever the energy resource is.
I thought it looked like crap initially but after playing the beta it won me over, I enjoy it.
played for abit ( dint had much time that weekend plus was selected hours ) and found the game very confusing, maybe i am just used to MMORPGs to spoon feed me where to go with ease or something but i keep getting lost even at the start, maybe they trying to get people to read what to do where to go rather than just follow a dot in the mini map... need to test more
@Brazucass What did you expect nothing but elite boss types all game long? "Gamers" like you will always have something to whine about.
3 Like I am in the beta, and i can tell you now the game is FUN especially considering its the creator of Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 behind this game. It may not look or feel polished right now, but i have high hopes that it will be come launch.
@greek5 I'm curious, does the game take place in the Marvel Initiative universe, like Marvel: Avengers Alliance and Marvel XP?

4 Like Some of you guys got to get over the graphic thing..Game looks fun to me..Thats what counts when i play games..Hell ill still play ultima an have fun from time to time..Not flashy graphics..Ill take more game-play over graphics any day of the week..Looks like a game i can play for awhile..Its free also so what more do you want..
When I say the game looks like crap I don't mean the graphics. I mean the gameplay. Although the graphics aren't exactly good either.
@gt350tsc youre missing out buddy. Here, compared to dcuo, you actually feel powerfull defeating mobs. try it an play as thor or hulk, it's a power trip!
