This Ninja stealths his way to a great score in this video review for Mark of the Ninja.
Ok! The way this man talks about the game it looks like he was about to give the game a perfect 10 for the game score. This reviewers drives u crazy with their so called reviews. You have to come out and mention how exsacly you came out with 8.5 and he dind't. What he did do is tells you what a perfect and good game should be and play, the only team at the end he forgot to give the game the perfect score. Is just the score don't match the review he gave.
I just got it on sale too for 600MS points 2days ago through the Countdown to 2013 Daily Deal Day 4!!
Looks interesting... 2D is a little difficult for me to get into these days since I grew up on 2D games, which were awesome back in the day, but now? Not so sure...
one thing I don't get is that you make noise when running. I hear ninja shoes are silent even when running, and trained ninja can avoid making such noises. Ah, artistic licensing, what can you do.

As interesting and cool as it seem, it also appear like a game that requires patience and waiting for right opportunity to strike...
I have no patience at all... I'd rather just trigger the alarm and butcher everyone that shows up... but even if such thing is possible, it ruins the game-play creators intended to create.
So I think I'll pass... sadly
@Shinteikun Not that I care to much if you pass or not, but for others out there and yourself, there are other ways of playing the game, and both are equally rewarding.

I think one of the most amazing feats with this game that reviewers seem not to mention, is how there are 3 separate skill trees to take. All leaving to varied types of gameplay.
I don't enjoy these midget sprites that require a 72" screen to play. Outland was the same way. Both look beautiful, but suck when it comes to eye strains and headaches!
@wiserat4 Are you just looking for attention? Nobody cares about your needs and desires? Are you a narcissist in need of lots of notice? The game requires a decent monitor with a decent resolution--if you can't afford that then just stfu!
TRUE! that game hurt the hell out of my eyes, i couldn't play more than 2 missions becasue my eyes would hurt to much!

2 Like Looking at this just makes me wish Acquire/K2/From software made a decent Tenchu game, once again. They just don't learn with their mistakes. Just look at Way of the Samurai 4. Always the same problem. Too clunky, and too repetitive. Hope they play this game and realize they suck at making games.

Mark of the Ninja is so much better in every way conceivable that it would suffer. After playing it, Shank feels like a rough draft for Klei to test waters and make their *truly great* game.

and if you enjoyed playing oddworld abe's oddysee & exoddus back in the day, then definitely check out this game.
1 Like Mark of the Ninja 2 should definitely have 2 player co-op. It was the 1st thing that came to mind when I saw the female ninja running around with me. Here's to hoping. /fingers crossed
When I saw this at PAX East it made me want to buy an XBox 360 on the spot. It was like the original Ninja Gaiden with a stealth element and updated graphics. I still haven't forgiven Klei for deciding not to distribute this through Steam.

I hate the artistic style but I've missed playing a real stealth game so I might just get one...

1 Like @Divine_Stryph @NightLord47 I'm afraid I have to agree with NightLord47...the art style was what turned me off to buying the game. Cheesy Saturday morning cartoon graphics. I would have preferred a more pixelated art style...but that's because I really enjoy NES/SNES style games and such.
@goggles123456 @Divine_Stryph That's a polite way of trying to diffuse the situation, but you sense of artistic style is totally skewed. You need to visit a museum and reeducate yourself on what art really is.

1 Like There's absolutely nothing cheesy about the art style. You're taste is cheesy. Perhaps tacky and dated even. But whatever. This game is amazing. Art to gameplay to replay value. Your lose. Go get some artistic refinement.
