As far as Mario sports games go this is one of the better ones

User Rating: 9.1 | Mario Tennis GBC
Mario seems to try his hand at about every sport going and now he's trying tennis. Lets get one thing straight from the off. This game is brilliant. The gameplay and the controls just seem to work and it's full of depth. Especially considering it can be linked with the N64 version.

Gameplay- The main story is about you, an up and coming tennis star who has just joined the tennis academy. You can play singles or doubles and have to progress through the rankings in each. You have to move through the junior class to the senior class and then the varsity team. You can then play at the island open tournament. If you win that then you can play Mario in singles or Mario and Peach in doubles. Outside of the main game there is also a mini-game and exhibition modes. The mini games are fun but not as good as tthe story.

Graphics- For a GBC game the graphics are brilliant and certainly a plus point.

Sound- The sounds are all realistic and the music when your walking around and on the main menu is enthralling.

Value- The lifespan is long because of the singles, doubles, mini-games, exhibition, and N64 link up.

Overall- A game that any gameboy owner should have in their collection whether they like tennis or not.
