Another example showing that plumbers can do just about anything!

User Rating: 8.5 | Mario Super Sluggers WII
Mario Super Sluggers is a great and well-thought out game showing much improvement from the first game, Mario Superstar Baseball. Obviously, the graphics are better, sine they are held on the Wii. Not only that, but the story mode is more complex, and they feature more characters that you can get in the game. It is also a better multiplayer game, due to the new item carrier in each sequence of gameplay, and with new star power affects on most captains.

Gameplay: 8.5/10
The gameplay is superb in itself. For one, the story mode is so much better than the last games, where all you do is play teams non-stop. In this version, you go around and challenge people and try to find items; sort of like Pokemon except for the non-RPG tactic involved. Also, the new characters cause for more and better chemistry. What I don't like about the chemistry is that they take off Luigi and Peach, DK and Birdo, and Wario and Boo. Wario and Waluigi are the only ones with chemistry. Some characters I would like to see in this game are Lakitu, Armored Koopa, or even Sonic the Hedgehog. I'd also like to see more fields in this game and more characters. Also, I like the nightime effect, so you can finally play at night under the big lights, or even in a new field, like Luigi's Mansion.

Controls: 8.5/10
The new Wii controls for this game are very good and are an upgrade from the previous controls. You throw and bat with swinging the remote, and you run with shaking the remote and moving the nunchuck controller. Where a problem can occur is where the first baseman gets a diving stop away from the bag, and the pitcher is unavailable to cover the bag. You have to try and run towards the base, but you also need to control yourself and throw the ball. If you are above the bag and you run towards it, you will throw home, likewise if you run left for some odd reason. Also, I like where the outfielders can jump off each other and rob a home run if they have chemistry. It is also nice to have curves while the ball is moving, so it requires more difficulty to beat a certain team or even hit the ball.

Sound: 7/10
In short, the music is pretty cool in the middle of the innings, and it's OK during the games. But when you're like me and play over 100 hours of this game over a 2 year span, you can get annoyed by it. I sometimes listen to my IPOD while playing this game. Geez, it could be better! One feature I'd like to see is more unlockable music like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (but maybe not that much; that's a lot of music.).

MultiPlayer- 8.5/10
This is a great game to play with friends an/or family. It allows you to play with up to four players, and four on one team (Geez!). However, it is horrible when you play with more than one person on your team, because you don't know who is going towards the ball, who is pitching, or who is batting for that matter. It is very confusing, and this will cause much stress and much confusion. However, one-on-one is nice and is fun to play with the new run opportunity chant, where you have to play A at the right time corresponding to the buttons on the screen, and you could get more fan support causing or more quickness, power, and more benefits through chemistry.

Fun: 9/10
Honestly, this is a very fun game with many features. It's a great feeling when you make a diving stop or rob a home run, likewise if you hit a walk-off home run or a grand salami. It needs improvements, but overall is a good game; One that shouldn't attract dust on your shelf.
