Not the party we were looking for.

It's time for the Mario Party Advance Review. For the GBA.

This game was Nintendo's first attempt to bring the Mario Party series to a handheld system. The second was Mario Party DS. Mario Party Advance isn't like the Gamecube games, but DS is. Let's begin.

So yeah, Bowser took all the Gaddgets that E. Gadd made. Yeah.
There are bunch of modes. Shroom City, which is the basic Story Mode. Party Land, Play Land, Challenge Mode.

In Shroom City, you have to help out the locals by doing quests, and in reward, they offer you with Gaddgets. You can play as 4 characters, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi. You can only do certain quests with certain characters, and each character starts at a different spot.

In Play Land, you can play your Gaddgets and minigames. You can also transfer them to other players.

In Party Land, it's all about dueling and playing against other people.

In Challenge Mode, you have to earn coins by playing the various modes. There's a Game Corner, Minigame Attack, Bowser Land, etc.

The graphics were fine for this game. Can't go wrong with cartoon graphics.

The controls worked fine. They're different for all the games.

Mario Party Advance is a OK game. The main problem is that you can't play the party that we had on the N64 and the Gamecube. The upsides were that the minigames were fun to play and the game had a bonus board to actually play a real multiplayer game. I think this game was more single player oriented, but that doesn't really work for Mario Party games......

This game gets a 6 out of 10 with the title of Fair.

I'd like to point out something. Eurogamer gave this game a 1. Sure, this isn't the best game ever. But it's not terrible!
