There is something that seperates all the Mario Party game from each other. 1 has Mini-Game Island, 2 has changing costumes, 3 has duel mode, 4 has present collecting, 6 has the Mic and rule changes. But this one has the best things that seperste it and that is what makes it better than the others. Mario Party 5 has Super Duel Mode, where you can create your own robot/car with weapn and fight with it. Not only that, but it also has Card Party, an entirely new board game, Ice Hockey, and A beach volley ball game that is a big improvment on the one in Mario Party 4. Another thing that makes this installment so much better is the mini-game mode. In previous game you had free play and battle, and that was it. Now there are tons of fun new mode to play, like mini-game circut, Decathlon, a mode where you own more land as you win games, and lots more. Another new thing in the actual board game is the capsule system. Instead of items, you now get capsules that you can put on spaces to create events, or you can pay a fee and use them on yourself. There are 10 characters, 6 boards and you can also create teams that now have funny names, so those are fun to experiment with. The multiplayer is excellent. Anytime you have friends over, Mario Party is always a good choice. And if you have never played Mario Party before, this is a great introductory to the series.
