The best in Mario racing, if your an old-time lover see why your wrong.

User Rating: 9.5 | Mario Kart Wii (w/ Racing Wheel) WII
Just so everyone knows i own every Mario Kart game except the DS version, (I have played it though) and strongly think Mario Kart Wii is the supreme Kart game. I also think 64 is a great Mario Kart game in that series but there are 3 differences that set Mario Kart Wii apart from Mario Kart 64, it's superior online play, it's Wii Wheel control, and all the unlockables and longer Grand Prix mode than accustomed to. The online play is the best I've seen in my life, (on the Wii and DS) with the scoring system and the drawn-out excitement of getting it as high as possible on the racing and battle modes. And although people don't like the team battles I think it's an improvement on battling, I just wish they'd put solo battling as an option when you have friends that want to kick each other's butts. Another reason I think it's a step-up from 64 is the sensitive Wii controlling, and although some people think it's to drastic and hard to control, I think you just need to go through a learning process to get the feel of the wheel. Of all the copy-cat Wheel control games, none of them can equal Mario Kart's wonderful control. The last reason is the Grand Prix mode is longer and more challenging than typical Mario Kart games, and the unlockables can give you another reason to play it. Most of the old courses have been visually and physically restored and the few that aren't the greatest are still relatively fun and aren't exactly torture to race through, with the occasional bad track. Also, with the Grand Prix mode, the difficulty from 50cc, very easy for the beginners, 100cc harder but certainly not unbeatable, and 150cc, which isn't unbeatable for the tried veterans, but isn't a walk in the park for the noobies. Going back to the online feature, the difficulty can range from pretty do-able to totally unbeatable with the worldwide mode, which makes Mario Kart's difficulty in the middle, combining the Karting nerds and the 10 year old cousin that's directionally challenged. I think Mario Kart Wii is a very underrated game and is not as complete, but in the upper echelon with Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
