If there is any racing game that you simply must have, this is probably it.

User Rating: 9.5 | Mario Kart Wii (w/ Racing Wheel) WII
Mario Kart Wii is the continuation of the of the famed Mario Kart series. The game allows you to use many different control styles. One may use the traditional Wiimote and Nunchuk combo, a Gamecube controller, or the special control system. This system allows you to you what is called the WiiWheel, and steer as if you were in an actual kart (you could substitute this by simply flipping the Wiimote sideways).

The mechanics have remained mostly the same from the previous titles of the series, and they work nicely. You choose your character, select a cup to race in, and compete in a series of detailed stages for 1st place.

A great newe addition to the game would be the ability to utilize both karts and now motorbikes. Every character has there own distinctive set of vehicles, and there are many you can unlock throughout the game.

The character rooster for the game is amazing, with so many faces to choose from. From the usual Mario and Donkey Kong, but now some new ones such as Dry Bones and even Baby Peach.

Now that you are utilizing the Wii, your custom Mii from the Mii Channel plays a vibrant part of his/her own. You can use your Mii for your driver liscense's, which is pretty much your own personal save file. Your Mii is even a character to choose from, and just like every other character, also gets their own custom set of vehicles, based on height.

The usual modes Time Trial and Battle have remained from the other Mario Kart titles, but with little changes.

Wi-fi is a huge addition to the game, allowing you to race and challenge againest people from different parts of the globe. No real problems here.

One of the problems would be the difficulty. Unlocking bonus content is a real challenge, and some of the conditions could take a lot of practice berfore they could be met.

Another problem is what all racing games really lack, an organized plot.

Still, it all comes down to geting out there, and race your heart out. And for the most part, it works.

On to the scoring portion!

Graphics: 10/10: Crystal clear graphics that are glitch-free. Absolutely no problems!

Plot: 8/10: Lacks a real plot, but this is no problem. There should be enough to keep you satisfied.

Characters: 10/10: Many different characters to choose from. Many new ones have been added to the series as well.

Gameplay: 10/10: This is definently the racing game that does everything right. Loaded with fun short cuts, and half-pipes. The new motorbikes are the best new feature!

Difficulty: 9/10: Hard to unlock certain things, but not impossible. Just right for the rest of the game.

Overall: 47/50 = 9.5/10 = "Epic Win"

On your mark, get set, GO!!!
