I'll be brief. This is one of the most fun multiplayer games I have ever played, excelling any of the other Mario Kart games in that respect. The co-op mode is quite possibly one of the best things to happen to the Mario Kart series, and when you have four people in teams of two racing in a 150cc Grand Prix, with team members frantically yelling instructions at each other, you'll relish the moment. The new battle modes (Shine Thief and Bob-Omb Blast) work exceptionally well (my personal favourite being Shine Thief). Also, in haste to disagree with what some people have said, the track design is superb. Not every track will stand out, but those that do will stand up to a lot of repeated play. My only concern is that people who buy this to play primarily as a single-player game will find themselves finishing it fairly easily. If you're looking for the insane toughness of F-Zero GX, you'll be disappointed here. But get some friends around and you'll have the time of your life.
