Mario Kart Double Dash is unique among Mario Kart entries and stands out among the rest. The expanded characters and double riding features are a welcome addition but the controls and depth in the racing mechanics are not a huge improvement over Mario Kart 64. Later entries are a much smoother experience but Mario Kart Double Dash will always be a fan favorite for its originality.
