The A.I is about as cheap as A.I can get in a game. Not to mention the blue shell is the dumbest thing ever invented in a game. Sure, you can dodge it with a mushroom, but how often do you get a mushroom when in first place!?

well for metal mario they should just have add it color schemes instead like super smash bros. that way players can pick the metal mario color. well they should do that on the next mario kart. so we don't have a character that's not a character.
There is a way to dodge the blue shell, if you use a speed up shroom right as the shell is dropping on you it will land just behind you missing you completely.

Im gonna trust his judgment on the game ... he DID win the Tournament of the ages and we saw his mario kart exp. first hand so there is credibility on his assessment of this mario kart ... and he gave it a good score ...
I think Nintendo should release some more tracks on the store for people to purchase, i'd definitely do so :)

I like this game a lot. Though I feel it is lacking some single player content, the gameplay and multiplayer is really excellent. This is the best Mario Kart in the series, for me. :) Great job, Nintendo. I can't wait to see the Wii U version. :)

i had to choose between this and 3Dland...i choose and got this today! FUN! FUN! FUN! Best lookin mario kart yet...the graphics looks so crisp in that little screen and the 3D makes it look and play even better.
i'm enjoying this alot more than mario 3ds land. This game is coming dangerously close to surpassing super circuit as my 2nd favorite mario kart. Mario Kart 64 is still #1 though.

Traded in ocarina of time for this. Best decision i ever made. I played it till i found the 3 spiritual stones then lost interest in the game. It was an ok game but it just wasn't interesting enough for me.
Cave Story, Super Mario 3D Land, and now Mario Kart 7, all we need now is Kid Icarus and suddenly, having a 3DS won't be such a waste of money after all. =)

This score is actually quite good, despite what people are complaining about. Seriously, it's not like GS gave MK7 a 5 or something.
I am waiting for my mailman to deliver it, i cant wait. :D A shame that yet again a Nintendo game does not get the score it deserves from Gamespot. This seems a trend on this site. Is Gamespot tired of Nintendo? Or does Nintendo not compensate you guys enough? Not that i pay much attention to the reviewers scores, the User score tells me way way WAY more!!!

MK never required "skill" --ahhaha-- you can move from last place to first with a single item =bs Still a fun game though, for awhile, it needs some new fresh ideas; in addition, too needing updated graphics, physics, and characters/weapons.
FIRE TOM MCSHEA. His Skyward Sword score was BS and all he did was complain about how the gameplay is the same even though if it ain't broke don't fix it. Now he was boring as hell in this video. Come on GS get more guys like Chris Watters!
