Great game. Solid gameplay and lots of variety in terms of shot control. The pros: tons of characters and well designed lush, colorful courses. Lots of mini-games and little extras add value to this title. Enhanced shot mechanics from its predecessor, you can choose to "auto hit" with a double tap on the A button, or you can use the traditional 3 button "manual" swing. You can shape shots and add back-spin/top-spin. Cons: Uses teh 3-button method of swing. I much prefer the Tiger Woods 2003 Tru Swing. The GameCube controller has analog sticks so why not use em? I agree with the reviewer above (DarthFaith) in that this game is definitely geared towards tots and not adult gamers. Another downside is the annoying character noises. They are funny ONCE then get really grating the next 345309593 times you hear them. Overall this "GameCubes" game deserves a good rating because it has a lot of good gameplay. I disagree with DarthFaith when he says "Nintendo just keeps recycling the same game again". I mean, this is GOLF. There's only so much you can introduce to it. Tiger Woods does the same thing. But the fact that the analog stick was not employed for the swing mechanics is the real disappointment. So if you like golf games (Tiger Woods, Hotshots, Outlaw) and you have a GameCube and you have friends who like to sit around and play sports games, then this is a must have. spiny
