Should have been renamed: Mario & Sonic: Shake the Wii Remote

User Rating: 4 | Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games WII
Mario and Sonic have joined up in their first game together, and it had the right idea, but it did not deliver at all.

There are a lot of characters to chose from, all of which are familiar characters from the Mario and Sonic games. Really, that's the best thing about the game.

Every single game is pretty short, and most of them are just tedious, boring, and frustrating, just like an episode of Smallville. All of the events are obviously from the Olympics, but they are all the ones that nobody cares about except swimming. Seriously, who watches the trampoline events?

Pros.
- Graphics are nice and easy on the eyes
- Lots of the characters we all love are here

Cons.
- All of the events consist of mindlessly shaking the Wii remote or quick time events
- Most of the events are ones that nobody cares about
- Controls don't work as well as you would like them to
- Bad controls lead to losing, which leads to frustration, which leads to being mad that you bought the game, which leads to Wii Remote embedded in the wall

Story: N/A

Sound: 5/10
Dumb music, sound effects are a little too basic

Graphics: 7/10
Nice, but basic. There really isn't a whole lot going on in the background

Difficulty:3/10
Already difficult, but with bad controls, it just makes it worse.

Controls: 4/10
They do work, but more times than not, they will make you mad.

Presentation: 6/10
Not bad, but its just skin and bones. There isn't anything special about them

Gameplay: 3/10
One word to describe it: Tedious. They aren't as user friendly as every other Mario game that has ever existed

"Fun" Factor: 2/10
Not much fun to be had here

Should I get it?
No, but if you do, try to find a nice place you would like a hole in your wall close to your t.v. because your wii remote will end up there.
