A game you WILL want to play

User Rating: 9.5 | Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga GBA
I remember when this game first came out. I was, for lack of better word, uber excited. There was finally going to be a game with Luigi in it! Now, if you know me (which I doubt you do) I'm a die hard Luigi fan. But that's not what this game is about. Well, not entirely.

The charm, the graphics, and even the humor is what got me on this game. Some people may have found little hindrances in the game, while I just played for the hell of it. Now for me, Luigi helped make this game. With his funny personality, he lightened up the game when it may have had seemed a little "down".

Graphics - 9-9.5

This was one of the best graphic games on the GBA that I have seen. They had great sprites, great animations, and also had the great idea of that somewhat 3d look.

Sound - 8.5-9

Again, I would consider this to be on the top game music of all the games I h ave played on GBA. Most of the time it changed from battle to battle, and from town to town.. Just plain good. Sometimes, though, I must admit, it was a little bit annoying.

Gameplay - 10

The great new aspect to Mario games most likely came from here. The game was mostly turn based, somewhat like FF. The great thing about this though was the amount of interactivity which you got if you were attacking, or if you weren't. You could defend attacks while on the other hand had many special abilities which you could use on the attack side. The movement throughout the game was great to, using the somewhat new (to GBA) aspect of 3d.

Wrap up:

With all of these contributions to the game, I would say hands down that this has to be my favorite game on the GBA. I laughed, I struggled, and I felt satisfaction after beating the bean queen (hah rhyme). So get out your old GBA and play this great game.
