This is a great game. I have to start there. It almost seems like it is perfect. You have your main quest to complete and on top of that, there are a good number of side quests or games that you can play to keep yourself entertained, and even win more items that will aid you on your quest. The game, though giving the illusion that it is free flowing and free roaming, it is quite linear. To me, that works in its favor. You never feel lost but you do have to think about where to go next. If you cannot figure it out on your own, a process of elimination will lead you in the right direction because everywhere else is virtually a dead end. The game has very entertaining characters each with a personality. Also, almost every previous Mario title has representation of some form or another which gives this game a true Mario feel. Bottom line, this game comes highly recommended to any Mario fan.
