Mario & Luigi go on another crazy adventure!

User Rating: 8.5 | Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time DS
Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time is a very fun and addictive game. The mix of platforming and rhythm-action turn-based battling is genius. If you're wondering what rhythm-action is, it means that when you're battling you actually have to execute the attacks by pressing buttons at the right time, unlike in other RPG turn-based battlers, where you don't have to press any buttons after you have selected your attack. As Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time is about Mario & Luigi going back in time it might be a worry that this concept features heavily in the game. It does not though, and the time travel is basically how you go to other worlds. Having Baby Mario and Baby Luigi tagging along might seem a hassle. It is not though, because you don't have control separately all of the time. Mario & Luigi can give them a piggyback ride, so you can move as if it were just Mario & Luigi. There are clever sections of the game which utilise the DS's two screens very well. These sections of the game I'm talking about are parts where Mario & Luigi are on the bottom screen and Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are on the top screen. In these sections, Mario & Luigi do something for you, you do something for them (vice versa). So, there are lots of puzzles, platforming, rhythm-based turn-based battling and crazy adventures to be had in this fantastic entry in the Mario & Luigi series.
