A stellar 3rd installment in the RPG series.

User Rating: 9 | Mario & Luigi RPG 3!!! DS
Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, oh boy, when I first heard they were making a 3rd M&LRPG, I got so excited. After All, Partners In Time WAS my first DS game. The memories I have with that game... But, I digress, I got M&L:BiS the first day it came out, and i can tell you, I was not disappointed. I recently replayed it, and decided to review it.

Gameplay and control: 9/10
This Game controls like the other two in the series for the Mario Bros.: A is Mario's button, B is Luigi's. Now, The X and Y Buttons are used to control Bowser. You simply use these buttons to perform various actions in the overworld, while using the D-pad to move. The L and R buttons are used for selecting what actions the buttons perform. A similar system is used in battle: using the D-pad to select action, then using the button(s) specified to perform that action. Start and Select are used in the overworld to bring up the Menu and Map, respectively. The control system is easy to catch on to and works pretty well, making you enjoy the game all the better. The only complaint I have is that the game felt too easy, next time try and challenge us a little more, Nintendo.

Plot and Storytelling: 9.5/10
The Mushroom Kingdom is infected by the Blorbs; a virus that makes toads swell up to enormous sizes and roll away. Princess Peach Holds a meeting gathering experts of all kinds to try and find a cause of the blorbs, including a star sprite named Starlow. It's not long before the Mario Bros. Show up and the meeting continues.
Meanwhile, Bowser is taking a stroll through the wood, perfecting his latest plan to beat Mario. He meets an odd guy who gives him a mushroom that he claims will help Bowser beat Mario. Bowser, being the gullible Lug that he is, Eats the mushroom, which makes him start Inhaling things! The strange guy reveals himself to be Cackletta's former servant, Fawful! Fawlful reveals that he plans to take over the Mushroom Kingdom! (really original idea, amirite?) He then takes Bowser to Peach's castle, where Bowser Inhales everyone! Now Mario and Luigi, with the help of Starlow, and the unexpected ally Bowser, Must stop Fawful! This game has the unique brand of comedy you've come to expect from Mario and Luigi games, and Has a Plot that slowly Unfolds, leading up to the end.

Music: 9/10
Oh man, this game's music! I could go on and on about all the memorable tunes, but I'll rather just tell you that you get an awesome reward for getting to the end, the final boss theme and Credits theme are awesome. And the other melodies aren't bad either, I enjoy the Mario Bros. Battle theme and The Battle victory theme, and the boss theme is also pretty good. Oh, and The Special attack demo/Minigame theme.

Feel: 8.5/10
This game gives you a vibe that you would get from other Mario games; lighthearted and comedic. The darkest thing that happens in this game is probably the discovery of the dark star. But, that's become expected from Mario games. the battles just make you feel awesome, and unless you run, it's hard to not walk away from the battle and not feel satisfied. And the final battle will make you feel awesome.

Overall: 9/10
Bowser's inside Story is a great game, and I recomend it for any Mario-style RPG fan, or anyone looking for a good RPG, really.
