MapleStory.
A 2D MMORPG by Nexon and Wizet.
Let's cut to the chase.
The things I liked:
- Beautiful artwork and original soundtrack.
- Characters customization can be really fun and you can design your character to be quite unique. (With the possibility of some Nexon cash, of course.)
- Atmosphere will keep you engrossed.
- Large variety of NPCs and quests.
- Unique areas to explore with amusing themes.
- Great gameplay system and comfortable interface.
- I liked the unique platformer element. The game feels different.
- The game is updated and patched frequently. And inflated with new content/events fairly often.
- Endless possibilities and loads of stuff to do, gameplay can go on for hundreds of hours.
The things I didn't like:
- The game can come to a grind at some points.
- You'll be begging to purchase Nexon cash in order to purchase premium material and items in-game.
- Immature community sometimes, filled with 10-14 year olds on the most part. Some of them really need a few blows to the head by an inflatable baseball bat.
- Customer service? Blah.
- Automatic attacking monsters. Don't you DARE go to a dangerous level area and think you'll be safe 'as long as you don't attack the monsters'.
- FRUSTRATING AS @#$% EVENTS!! GRGGG! (occasionally)
- The classic, occasional lag.
My score: 7.5
I'd say at least give the game a chance.

A great game to play if there is nothing better to play. It's free, it's fun, and it has a decent backbone to stand on.
