Double_Wide

Another clever Rockstar fueled killing spree. Stealth gameplay meets GTA uber violence!

The Bottom Line:
"Innovative"
Disclaimer: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT play this game anywhere near children!

The first time I heard and read about this game, I knew it was going to be trouble...meaning, I had to get it! So, you basically play as a death row inmate (James Earl Cash) who what appears at first seems to get a lucky break when he is sedated instead of killed during his lethal injection. However, he soon begins to discover that he's become a pawn in some psychopath's sick game. Several groups of equally or even more dangerous criminals have been hired to kill Cash but the guy behind all of this is already aware of Cash's "skill set" and is shooting a movie of the whole "cat and mouse" game. "Well why can't Cash just escape and not participate" you ask? Oh yeah, because this creep is also holding several of Cash's family member hostage for assurance of his full cooperation. Basically, you fight/hunt a wide array of enemies such as White Supremists, Occultists, Pediphiles, the Criminally Insane, and even the US Army! What makes this game so brutal is that with an already sick arsenal of weapons (pastic bags, shot guns, knives, baseball bats etc) you can sneak behind a victim and basically choose between 3 different variations of executions...all depending on how long you hold down the attack button before finally reaching them. All of the kills are pretty brutal and not for the faint of heart!

My Breakdown:

What's Good:

- Successfully integrates stealth gameplay and insane violence
- Bizarre yet original plot
- Very addictive
- High Replay Value

What's Not-So-Good:

- The vague details of how to fight the final boss.

What's Bad:

- The over-the-top violence doesn't cater to everybody

In all, to this day, this is the most violent game that I have ever played. I like violent games but even I squirmed a bit on certain parts. If you love uber and over the top violence, this is definately your type of game and is a must for anyone who claims to be a fan of such games.
