The first time you play Manhunt, if you watch the opening movie you'll know that you're in for a sick and twisted experience. The hunters that have been hired to kill you are very creepy and the setting is the same which compliments the violence of the game. The arsenal of weapons range from plastic bags and machetes to assault rifles, shotguns and even a nail gun. The stealth kills are built up of level 1, 2 or 3 executions, level 3 being the most graphic and usually involves dismemberment, but luckily after you have killed your enemy you can take the severed head with you to throw and create a diversion. The CCTV type filter on the camera during the stealth kills is an excellent effect and with blood splattering on the camera it doubles the twisted feel. The guns are less fun but are still a very violent way of killing your enemies (if you check out the corpse of your enemy after you shot him in the head you can actually see that the head is missing a large portion). The graphics are very detailed for a game from the previous generation and an Xbox 360 or PS3 Manhunt game would be excellent. The only let down is sometimes it can get very dark and it is hard to see what is going on but don't let that put you off. The choking sound of an enemy during an execution is very disturbing but combined with every other aspect of the game it ties in well. Overall, Manhunt is an extremely excellent game and I by all means recommend it, especially if violence is your thing.
